Isabella Boumfree was known by the name of Sojourner Truth (this name was choosen by her) .
This woman was an African-American abolitionist and women's and slevies 's rights activist. In fact ,one of her principal caratteristic was that she was once a slave herself.
Her condition wasn't a limit but on the contrary fed her desire to be free and stand up for herself.
She didn't receive an education but it wasn't a problem for her. During her life she did a lot of charismetic speeches with she collected a lot of enemies but also a lot of supporters. She achived her goals. She lived free and she worked for herself and her family.
Sojourner truth is a wonderful example of natural uman potential of how, with hard work, a man or a woman can achieve success.

  1. Really great, that is the lesson we should acquire from the Sojourner's life; Slavery doesn't mean to be forced to do something bye another person, or to be under his authority. On the article "What is Enlightenment" (Immanuel Kant 1784 ) the author clearly arguments that freedom of thinking is the essence of human rights. That's how, i guess, Sojourner lived all her life free. Didn't She ?
